About Andy
Andy Whyte is an Auckland-based artist whose paintings explore light, colour and atmosphere in the natural world.
Drawing on gardens, morning walks and familiar landscapes, her work moves between observation and abstraction. Central to her practice is the idea of “glimmers” — the fleeting moments of joy found in the appreciation of nature.
With a background in architecture and graphic design, Andy brings an interest in space, composition and colour to her painting practice. She holds an honours degree in Architecture and has continued to develop her practice through painting and drawing, including studying at the Browne School of Art for the last 4 years.
Her work is held in private collections throughout New Zealand, and she has been selected as an emerging artist by Rising Creative Studio.
